Prior to the global pandemic shutdowns, developers were already under pressure due to the lingering demand for new products with 5G connectivity. Products were quickly redesigned with substitute parts, many of which were not designed to the same specifications, as a result of the subsequent supply chain issues that made many parts scarce.
